Next week Wednesday March 17th is St. Patrick's Day when the Irish celebrate their
Irishness along with many who have some Irish genes, and by many who wish to be
Irish for one day. There is a day when Poles and those of Polish descent world over
can and do celebrate their Polishness. That day is March 19th, St. Joseph's Day.
So, on Wednesday wear green, and on Friday wear red and white. We also recommend
flying your Polish flag if you have one. Here is an interesting article on St. Joseph's Day
and a recipe for an Italian pastry that many Polish Americans indulge in.
