Tad & Roman

Thursday, February 9, 7:00 p.m.

A musical concert featuring Polish classical and popular favorites. Tad brings you his own interpretation of familiar classical, popular and religious music including Chopin, Moniuszko, Wieniawski and Paderewski. Admission is $10, students are $5, and children under 12 are free.

Friday Night Fish Fries
February 24 - April 6 from 4:30-8:00 p.m.

Our buffet style menu includes fried & baked fish, pierogi, French fries, coleslaw and rye bread. Adults are $10.95, children 6-12 are $4.95 and children 5 and under are free. Cash bar open, reservations accepted.

 

 

Fiber Arts with a Polish Twist
Instructor: Kasia Drake-Hames - Folk & Fiber Artist

Beginning Basketry: Monday, March 5 - 6-8pm
In this class, we will examine some traditional Polish baskets and will learn to create simple baskets using the twining technique. Participants will create two small baskets: one from a common household material and the other from natural reeds. Fee (includes all materials): $20 ($2 discount for PHA members); $15 for children 10-12.

 

Elementary Tapestry Weaving: Monday March 12 & 19 - 6-8pm
Poland has a rich history of traditional and artistic weaving. In this class, we will look at both folk and fine arts weavings from Poland. Participants will learn traditional weaving techniques and stitches and discuss ways to create images and patterns. During the two class sessions, each participant will creat a basic re-usable homemade loom, which they will use to make their own unique tapestry weaving. Fee (includes all materials): $40 ($4 discount for PHA members); $30 for children 10-12.

An Afternoon of Polish Classical Music

Presented by the MacDowell Club of Milwaukee. Admission is free, donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will benefit the macDowell Club of Milwaukee to provide scholarships to students of music.

Pisanki Workshop
Saturday, March 31, 10:00am-12:00pm

Learn to make pisanki (decorated Easter eggs) using traditional wax-resist methods. Cost includes all materials; $15 for PHA members, $17 for non-members, $10 for children ages 10-12. Pre-registration is required. Enroll early, space is limited.

Join us for an all you can eat buffet prepared by Jack Norman Catering.

Bingo
Doors open 4:00 p.m.

Join us every Wednesday night for smoke-free bingo at The Polish Center of Wisconsin. Early Bird Bingo for $1050 begins at 6:00 p.m. and regular bingo for $1050 begins at 7:30 p.m. Door prizes are on every third Wednesday of the month. Card Games
First and Third Thursdays of the Month at Noon


Come to The Polish Center of Wisconsin on the first and third Thursdays of the month for an afternoon of card games. Games start at noon, open to the public. Card clubs welcome!
